1. What These Technologies Are

Browser local storage is a mechanism that lets a web application store data in your browser. Synapse relies on browser local storage to hold application state — for example, your in-app preferences, draft work, and the client-side stores that make the app responsive. Local storage is not transmitted automatically with every request the way a cookie is, but it is used for similar purposes and is covered by this Policy.

We use these technologies to: keep you signed in and secure your session; remember your settings and preferences; operate core application features; and, where enabled and permitted, measure and improve how the Service performs.
